Grunwerg launch new Global hybrid set ahead of family campaign

Grunwerg is proud to introduce a brand new Global Hybrid knife set, for the first time ever consisting of the three different Global knife series, Classic, Ni and SAI.

Over thirty years ago, Global knives hit the UK market by storm and have since become somewhat of an iconic household item, and a chef’s ‘right hand’ in most cases. This new set has arrived to promote a celebration of the three special series of knives that Global now has to offer. All three series have been developed to offer solutions for every chef’s individual preferences.

Grunwerg first started selling the original Global Classic knife series, which has the famous dotted iconic design, a lightweight body and a very precise blade. Four years ago, Global SAI was launched, carrying a designer sculptured handle, a 3-layer hammered finished blade and this series was developed for connoisseurs and experts. Last but not least, Global Ni was introduced in 2015. This series has an oriental angular restyling, large chest-nut style handles and a more even-balance weight between the handle and the blade.

Each series of knives and their differences in style and weights provide a bigger choice to chefs and consumers when they are finding their perfect knife set to use.

David Grunwerg, Director of Grunwerg says, ‘after speaking with different chefs over the past few years, we have come to realise just how important having the ‘perfect’ set of knives is within food preparation, and what chefs look for. It is all down to personal preference. Some chefs like heavy weight handles, others like knives as light as feathers! It is about the individual person and what they look for in a knife. This is why we now have three great series of Global knives to choose from. Each range has its specific qualities and style. So we have introduced the Global Hybrid knife set at a very special price, which gives everyone the opportunity to use all three different styles and they can choose for themselves which knife suites them the most.’

This special set has come just in time to celebrate a ‘triple’ success, not only for Global knives but also for the Grunwerg’s and the Roux family. The word ‘generation’ is definitely a golden word said within the Grunwerg business lately. Not only is the company proud of its third generation in the business success, but Global knives has introduced a third series of knives and the Roux family now have a third generation of family chefs, with Emily Roux who in her own right is a rising star, following in her father, Michel Roux Jnr’s footsteps.

The Roux family are big fans of Global Knives, and as well as Michel Roux Jnr being an Ambassador for the Classic Global range, Emily Roux has already chosen her favourite knife in Ni!

So to celebrate generations of success, Grunwerg is offering customers a chance to win a Global knife block set of their choice- choosing a different winner every month!

In each Global Hybrid knife set there is a questionnaire which asks customers to rate each knife inside the set and to state which knife out of the three different series they prefer, and why. The entrant with the most interesting answer will receive a full block set of knives from the series they choose are the best ones to use…

So the question is: which Global knife do you prefer?

Do not miss out on this opportunity. If you require more information about the new Hybrid Global 3 piece set, or the competition, please contact sophie@grunwerg.co.uk.

I’ve been using the classic range for about 8 years when my friends bought me a small set, I instantly fell in love with the g-5 veg chopper, since then it has been my GO-TO knife for nearly every task. I like the light feel and balance and it’s the most reliable and dependable thing in the kitchen apart from me. i have since added to my collection but there’s something about that chopper.
