From very modest beginnings, Global has developed into one of the most successful brands of professional kitchen knives in the world. Still crafted by hand in Yoshikin’s factory in Niigata, Japan, Global knives are manufactured to extremely high and exacting standards.

Made to the exacting standards of Japanese craftsmen, Global’s professional chefs knives have remained some of the most popular and successful kitchen knives in the industry for 30 years.

The blade is hand forged of exceptionally hard CROMOVA 18 high-carbon stainless steel, ice tempered and hardened to resist corrosion. CROMOVA 18 Stainless Steel is a proprietary stainless steel which has been designed exclusively for Global. The steel is hard enough to hold the blade’s steep, acute cutting edge for a long time but soft enough for ease of sharpening.

To balance their knives, Global’s expertly designed hollow handles are filled with just the right amount of sand to counter the weight of the blade.

The smooth contours and seamless construction eliminates food and dirt traps, offering the ultimate in safety, hygiene and good grip.
